About Suan Dusit University
Suan Dusit Rajabhat University under Rajabhat University Act B.E. 2547 is Suan Dusit University under Suan Dusit University Act B.E. 2558, as announced in the Government Gazette on 17 July 2015 (B.E. 2558) and enacted on 18 July 2015. Suan Dusit University is an autonomous government agency under the supervision of the Minister of Education.
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej signed his name on 16 July 2015, which is considered a great blessing for the university. The University Council in the meeting No. 1/2015 dated 24 July 2015 therefore set that date on 16 July 2015 as the birthday of Suan Dusit University. Regarding this status change, Suan Dusit University is not a government agency and a state enterprise but is a government agency under the supervision of the state. This allows the university to define or design its own management with greater freedom and flexibility in the following matters, i.e. general administration, budget management, personnel management and academic administration. The university still has the mission of a higher education institution as usual.
